The improbable story of a tiny, all-girls Catholic college winning the first national championship in women’s basketball stars Carla Gugino (NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM), Marley Shelton (NEVER BEEN KISSED), David Boreanaz (TV’s Bones), Phyllis Somerville (TV’s The Big C) and Academy Award® winner Ellen Burstyn (Best Actress, ALICE DOESN’T LIVE HERE ANYMORE, 1974).

Bonus materials include the behind-the-scenes featurette The Making of THE MIGHTY MACS, deleted scenes and THE MIGHTY MACS ESPN segment. THE MIGHTY MACS will be available on DVD for $22.99 SRP.

Synopsis
Based on a true story, THE MIGHTY MACS was inspired by Hall of Fame Coach Cathy Rush—a woman ahead of her time—who took a seemingly unnoticeable position as the head basketball coach at tiny Immaculata, an all-girls Catholic college in suburban Philadelphia.

Courage and determination helped her overcome a myriad of obstacles and in the end lead a ragtag group of girls to the first-ever national championship in women’s college basketball.
