Los Angeles, CA (May 10, 2012)– Movie to Movement presents “Faith & Family Film Weekend with John Schneider” on June 1 through June 3 in various cities across the U.S. The Faith & Family Film Weekend will celebrate the theatrical release of Schneider’s new inspirational film HARDFLIP, which tells the story of a young skater who sets out to find the father he never knew and inadvertently begins a journey he never could have expected. This story explores what happens when we let go of our anger and pain and forgive those who have hurt us most.
Numerous ministries and organizations are supporting the national event by encouraging audiences to see the film in the local markets, including Bott Radio, Stand True Ministries and Truth Talk Radio, Priest for Life with Father Frank Pavone, Students for Life of America and IamWholeLife.com
“As a kid growing up in southern California I grew to love skaters like Christian Hosoi and now Brian Sumner. To see them take a stand for Christ thrills me. HARDFLIP is a film that brings the family together.”- Bryan Kemper, Stand True Ministries
“A movie that not only connects with the skating community, but takes you deeper into uncensored pain, healing and transformation. A compelling narrative, a captivating ending… a must see for every teen, pre-teen and parent.”- Stu Epperson,Truth Talk Radio
“HARDFLIP is a film that projects God’s love to the heart of everyone who views– a must see.”- Dick Bott, Bott Radio
Other ministries supporting HARDFLIP are “I Am Second,” “Movie to Movement” and Christian skaters including Christian Hosoi and Brian Sumner, who are working together to bring HARDFLIP to the theaters.
HARDFLIP also starring Randy Wayne (To Save a Life and Honey 2,and ABC Family’s The Lying Game), Sean Michael Afable (To Save a Life, Akeelah and the Bee) and Rosanna Arquette (Desperately Seeking Susan, The Whole Nine Yards), offers viewers an enjoyable, entertaining, honest film about truth . . . and the power to forgive. The film also tells the story of being raised by a single mom and the pain, anger and sacrifice from the fallout of not having a father in the home. HARDFLIP provokes audiences to explore their own views of life and the importance of forgiving and being forgiven.
