LOS ANGELES, CA (October 4, 2011) – MGM’s exhilarating WEST SIDE STORY, the iconic Oscar®-winning film, celebrates its 50th anniversary this year with its memorizing songs and electric dance numbers by reaching a whole new generation of fans. Song classics “Somewhere” and “Something’s Coming” were recently featured on the hit Fox show Glee with additional songs from West Side Story to be featured over the coming weeks.
Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment will be releasing a special collector’s edition of MGM’s WEST SIDE STORY for the first time on Blu-ray November 15, featuring four discs, a collectible booklet, soundtrack CD and more. Earlier this year the film was honored at both The Hollywood Bowl and over two nights at the New York Philharmonic.
