WHOAwomen Presents “WHOAwomen Selfie” Contest Offering Fans The Chance To Meet Miss Kay at Mercy Ministries Benefit
Los Angeles, Calif. (October 1, 2014)—WHOAwomen recently sat down with Korie Robertson, Kay Robertson and Lisa Robertson of A&E’s Duck Dynasty to chat about family, faith, fame and future for the new fall issue on stands now.
Miss Kay on Faith and Fame: “My boys were as poor as church mice in an old church, and they are the same. We have been so blessed now, but I feel if the Lord takes it all away tomorrow, everybody’s strength is in Him and their families, so it doesn’t matter if they live in a shack or on the side of the road. It is going to continue.”
Korie on Family Christmas Traditions: “Kay is so sweet to allow all of the daughters-in-law to do their own thing with their families on Christmas Day, but we all start drifting down to Kay’s house about 3 or 4 in the afternoon of Christmas Day so we can help Kay cook and help Phil set up for the big family Christmas Day celebration. Kay has never created tension for any of us.”
Miss Kay on the Future: “America needs our show. I believe that with all my heart, soul and everything. That is what I keep telling Phil. Phil said, ‘My buns are getting tired.’ ”
Korie on the Future of the Show: “As long as people watch it and as long as we’re still having fun doing it, we will keep going.”
Laine Craft, editor of WHOAwomen, also spoke with Lisa Robertson, who unveiled powerful revelations of how she has been able to heal from her painful past and restore her marriage and reveals the key components to complete healing and restoration:
- Confess and own your sins. If you don’t know Jesus, get someone to help you find your way to Him and His ways. (Lisa says, “Now, I am speaking from someone who has had the affair but I still think your first thing has got to be your relationship with Jesus Christ.”)
- Find a Christian counselor.
- Find a group you can study the Bible with and can hold you accountable.
- Find a local church where you feel that you belong.
• Forgive – you have to forgive the offender, forgive loved ones and forgive yourself.
WHOAwomen is also presenting fans the unique opportunity to meet Miss Kay through a “WHOAwomen Selfie.” Readers can take a selfie with the Fall issue featuring Miss Kay and Korie Robertson, and submit how God has touched his/her life in 500 words or less. Entries can be sent to Share@WHOAwomen.com and on October 27 a lucky winner will be chosen and flown round-trip to attend the West Monroe Mercy Ministries Benefit on November 13, 2014 where they can meet and take a photo with Miss Kay.
