Buster Bundle #2 Debuts Four Character Skins and Two Equipment Skins – Included with the Full Containment Edition or Available for Separate Purchase.
CULVER CITY, Calif. (Dec. 15, 2023) – Sony Pictures Virtual Reality (SPVR) and veteran VR developer, nDreams, released the second FREE game mode, “Infestation,” for Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord, following the release of “Heist & Seek” in November. The newly available “Infestation” will put teamwork to the test as players endure waves of ghostly enemies and work to take down the Nest in this thrilling survival mode.
Infestation – Welcome to Slime Central! In this game mode, Ghostbusters face a daunting infestation in a building. Equipped with PKE meters, players must locate a stubborn ghost nested within the infrastructure. Track eerie activity, bust mischievous ghosts, and navigate through anthropomorphic manifestations. To deal with Nest monsters, teamwork is crucial. Coordinate with your team to divide and conquer while using particle streams to target the entity’s giant eyes. Pluck them out with well-timed boson darts for a slimy showdown!
Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord has also debuted six new skins – four character skins and two equipment skins for players to bust ghosts in style this holiday season. Players who own the Full Containment Edition Upgrade Season Pass can now claim the newest DLC character skins, “Spinners,” “Grill,” “Suits,” and “Mascot,” as well as two new equipment skins, “Souls” and “Bones.” All skins are included in the Full Containment Edition Upgrade and are also available for purchase separately or together as part of “Buster Bundle #2” for a limited-time discount on both the PlayStation Store and Meta Quest Store.
The Infestation Update is the first exciting content drop of the expanded post-launch roadmap, revealed by Game Director Nathan Baseley in the most recent Developer Update Video. This includes a new Slimer Hunt game mode coming in January and more major updates planned to address community feedback, such as additional narrative-infused content and atmospheric changes that will bring more thrills to the game.
