ATLANTA (May 18, 2022) – UP Faith & Family, the leading streaming service for uplifting entertainment, announced two scripted series premiere dates today. The service will debut Mystic by releasing three episodes on Thursday, May 19, with new episodes rolling out weekly. Based on the popular book series Pony Club SecretsMystic is a fun and adventurous show about a London girl who forms a deep connection to a mysterious horse who is trying to warn her of danger. Stacy Greggthe author of the series, will be doing a Facebook Live for fans on Thursday, May 19, at noon ET. The interview will be on Facebook.com/UPFaithandFamily. Additionally, UP Faith & Family is the first U.S. streamer to debut season two of the Canadian series Hudson & Rex, which was a breakout hit on the service when season one debuted last year. Three episodes will be released on Thursday, July 28, with a new episode added each subsequent week. Hudson & Rex is an action-packed one-hour procedural focused on Detective Charlie Hudson and his German Shepherd K9 partner Rex who work within the St. John’s Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit.

“We’re thrilled about these new additions to our summer offering,” said Angela Cannon, UP Faith & Family’s Vice President/Channel Manager. “We’ve found two great international series that truly speak to the heart of families. Many of our subscribers are Heartland enthusiasts so it’s a treat for us to bring viewers Mystic, a great new option for those who love horses. Additionally, Hudson & Rex has been a top performer on the service, so we are thrilled to premiere an all-new season in July.”

Set on the fictional peninsula of Kauri Point, New Zealand, Mystic tells the story of Issie Brown and her new-found friendships with the town’s teen horse riders, and their efforts to save Kauri Point from an industrial development that threatens it. Originally launched internationally in 2020, Mystic stars Macey Chipping, Laura Patch, Cathy Downes, Kirk Torrance, Antonia Robinson and Max Crean.

In Hudson & Rex, Detective Charlie Hudson (John Reardon) teams up with Rex (Diesel vom Burgimwald), whose heightened senses keep Charlie hot on the trail of his suspects. This season, Detective Hudson and his intrepid German Shepherd partner Rex return to solve another batch of cases in the streets of St. John’s. From catching a would-be-killer before their victim succumbs to poisoning, to crossing international lines on the trail of a sinister conspiracy, the stakes have never been higher for Hudson & Rex. Charlie’s deft detective work, combined with Rex’s keen canine senses, make this crime-fighting pair unstoppable. Supported by Dr. Sarah Truong’s (Mayko Nguyen) forensics expertise, Superintendent Donovan’s (Kevin Hanchard) leadership and Jesse Mills’ (Justin Kelly) tech skills, this team is unstoppable as they resolve the complex cases they’re faced with each week. Behind the scenes, Executive Producer and veteran Canadian Dog Master Sherri Davis directs Diesel for all of his performances as Rex.

Shaftesbury and Pope Productions Ltd. produces Hudson & Rex in association with Citytv, a division of Rogers Sports and Media, and Beta Film GmbH. Executive Producers are Christina Jennings, Scott Garvie, Oliver Bachert, Friedemann Goez, Nataline Rodrigues and Paul Pope. Lisa Porter is Producer.
