SteelStacks’ 5th Anniversary Kicks Off with $5 Movie Weekend April 15-17 at ArtsQuest Center
BETHLEHEM, PA—As SteelStacks gets set to mark its 5th Anniversary, ArtsQuest has an awesome offer for cinema fans to celebrate the 5th Anniversary of the ArtsQuest Center, which opened April 15, 2011. From April 15-17, all screenings in the Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas, with the exception of the “Soundtrack Comes Alive” musical performance with This Way to the Egress April 16, are only $5 (regularly $10). Films include features “Eye in the Sky” and “Hello My Name is Doris,” as well as a screening of one of the ArtsQuest Center’s most popular movies, “Silver Linings Playbook.”
Starring Academy Award winner Helen Mirren, Aaron Paul and the late Alan Rickman, “Eye in the Sky” is a British wartime political thriller. The cinemas are also screening “Hello, My Name is Doris,” a romantic comedy drama about a 60-something woman, played by Academy Award winner Sally Field, who decides to romantically pursue her younger co-worker.
In addition to the $5 movie weekend, the cinemas are also offering special $5 screenings of fan favorites from the past five years through April 28. The screenings include:
April 18, 7:15 p.m.: Vertigo
April 21, 7:30 p.m.: A Hard Day’s Night
April 23, 9:30 p.m.: The Princess Bride
April 24, 7 p.m.: The Artist
April 27, 7:30 p.m.: Moonrise Kingdom
April 28, 7:30 p.m.: LCD Soundsystem: Shut Up and Play the Hits

The ArtsQuest Center, located at 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem, has shown nearly 800 different films over the past five years, welcoming more than 225,000 guests to the SteelStacks campus since April 2011. Our Hometown Heroes – Memorial Day Weekend
In honor of the “Our Hometown Heroes” program at SteelStacks, Embassy Bank and ArtsQuest are inviting the servicemen and women featured on the Our Hometown Heroes banners over the past five years to attend the Memorial Day Celebration, where they will be honored during a special service as part of the weekend’s activities.
Levitt Pavilion Birthday Bash – July 2
Kick off the Levitt Pavilion’s 5th year of great free music with a birthday celebration, complete with cake.
SouthSide Swing – July 22-23
It’s a swingin’ evening under the stars as the Levitt Pavilion presents two great swing acts. We’ll even be putting up the first-ever dance floor on the Levitt lawn!
