About James Drury:

James Drury gained fame as the star of The Virginian, a groundbreaking 90-minute Western that ran on NBC from 1962 to 1971. To this day, The Virginian is continually growing a new fan base thanks to reruns currently airing on INSP. Having lived in Houston for the last 40 years, Drury has strong ties to the local community, and has also been involved in the oil and natural gas industry. Born in New York and raised on Oregon, Drury moved to Houston with his wife and bride of more than 40 years, Carl Ann Drury, shortly after The Virginian wrapped.

His filmography includes Walker, Texas Ranger, The Adventures of Briscoe County Jr., Wagon Train, Rawhide, The Rifleman, Gunsmoke, Death Valley Days and many more. While most of his parts have been in westerns, he hasn’t been limited to that genre. He has acted in Forbidden Planet, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, and Firehouse, to name a few.
