Tis the season for Christmas movies! This time of year, I dust off the ole holiday collection and start making time for viewing annual favorites. It’s the perfect time of year for busting out the old TV shows that cover Christmas as well as feature films.
Personally, among my holiday films that are musts for each year are:
White Christmas
A Christmas Carol (the one with Allistair Sim)
It’s A Wonderful Life (a family tradition to watch while baking!)
Elf
Now, there are a few holiday guilty pleasures that aren’t “musts” but still make it into the holiday rotation every now and then. Those are:
Fred Claus
Santa Clause 2
How The Grinch Stole Christmas (the Jim Carrey one)
A Christmas Carol (the new Jim Carrey one)
Jingle All The Way (c’mon… who can’t appreciate the insanity toy-buying used to be?… and with Arnie!)
Holiday Inn
Then of course there are the “TV Specials”
Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer
A Charlie Brown Christmas
How The Grinch Stole Christmas (the original)
A Garfield Christmas Special
Mickey’s Christmas Carol
…and then select holiday episodes from shows I grew up with like Darkwing Duck, MacGyver, The Real Ghostbusters, etc. (and newer shows like The Office, Wings, and maybe even the Festivus Seinfeld episode!)
So what holiday films are musts for YOU each year?
