Angel Expands World War II Film TRUTH & TREASON into a Four Part Limited Series
True Story of a Teen’s Courage in Nazi Germany that Earned an A CinemaScore Continues in Series Now Streaming on Angel App and Angel.com

TRUTH & TREASON: LIMITED SERIES — Episode Guide:
Episode 1: “When the Night Cometh” (49 Minutes) — Patriotic German youth Helmuth hears and sees things that make him question his allegiance to the Reich, leading him to secretly write and distribute materials denouncing Hitler and his regime. Gestapo Agent Müssener finds them.
Episode 2: “To the Ground Like Ashes” (39 Minutes) — Müssener searches for the leaflets’ author. Helmuth increases his production and recruits Karl and Rudi to help distribute them. Hugo discovers Helmuth’s radio and forces him out of the house. Elli reads one of the leaflets.
Episode 3: “And Reason Veils Her Face” (37 Minutes) — Müssener grapples with a devastating loss. Helmuth, Karl, and Rudi continue their resistance work. Helmuth gains confidence with Elli and asks her on a date. Müssener’s investigation brings him closer to Helmuth’s identity.
Episode 4: “That Better World” (58 Minutes) — Helmuth is imprisoned and tortured. As he stands trial for treason, he boldly declares the truth. He asks his friends to remember him and he envisions a better world.

SYNOPSIS:
As World War II rages, a teenage boy in Germany is forced to confront a terrible truth—loyalty to his country now means loyalty to a lie. When his trusted bishop urges obedience to the Nazi regime, he begins to question everything. And after his Jewish friend is taken away, he secretly listens to banned radio broadcasts and launches a resistance, exposing the truth. But in a nation ruled by fear, defiance comes at a cost—and as the regime closes in, he must decide what it truly means to be a good German.
