The Gridiron Coaches Foundation Aligns with the Upcoming Film THE SENIOR
Organization to Honor Mike Flynt and Michael Chiklis at Dallas Premiere

BEDFORD, TX —September 3, 2025 – At the Texas premiere of THE SENIOR in Bedford, Bob Beaudine, co-founder of The Gridiron Coaches Foundation will present special awards to Mike Flynt—the real-life subject of the film—and actor Michael Chiklis, who portrays Flynt on screen. The awards will honor their role in supporting films that inspire audiences through stories of resilience, redemption, and the transformative power of sports.
THE SENIOR tells the incredible true story of Mike Flynt. At 59, Flynt may have been too old to play college football—but he wasn’t too old to settle unfinished business. Nearly four decades after leaving his team, he returns to his alma mater to confront the moment that changed everything. Bruised, doubted, and nearly broken, he fights for one last game—not for glory, but for the teammates he lost, the family he fractured, and the ending he still believes is possible.
“I am humbled and grateful for this recognition,” said Mike Flynt. “This journey has been about second chances, forgiveness, and the belief that it’s never too late to finish what you started. I’m thankful for the filmmakers and everyone who helped bring this story to life so it can inspire others to keep chasing their dreams.”
The Gridiron Coaches Foundation exists to bridge the gap for college football players facing career-ending injuries, helping them transition into coaching roles where their knowledge, character, and leadership can positively influence generations of young players.
THE SENIOR was produced by Warfarer Studios and distributed by Angel. The film will launch in theaters nationwide on September 19, 2025.
