ATLANTA February 27, 2019– UPtv, the television home for uplifting family entertainment, has acquired the hit series The Librarians from Electric EntertainmentAs a special treat to the highly-engaged fans and supporters of The Librarians, series co-star Christian Kane announced the acquisition in a video that was shared across social platforms and fansites. The series will launch on the network Wednesday, March 13 at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. ET. UPtv will debut the episodes as special extended editions never before seen on television that will also include extras such as bonus content and behind-the-scenes interviews with cast and crew. The Librarians joins the previously acquired The Librarian movie series as part of the network’s offering. UPtv premiered the three-part The Librarian movie franchise on New Year’s Day with the marathon reaching 2.2 Million viewers.*

Based on TNT’s hit movie franchise, The Librarians centers on an ancient organization dedicated to protecting an unknowing world from the secret, magical reality hidden all around. Rebecca Romijn, Christian Kane, Lindy Booth and John Harlan Kim star in the series as protectors of the world’s mystical treasures with Emmy® winner John Larroquette as their reluctant caretaker. The series features Noah Wyle as Flynn Carsen, the character made popular in the original TV movies. This group works together to solve impossible mysteries, fight supernatural threats and recover powerful artifacts from around the world. Dean Devlin, Marc Roskin and Wyle serve as executive producers.
