Burbank, CA, December 4, 2015 – You can teach a young boss old tricks when “The Intern” arrives onto Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD and Digital HD. Directed by Oscar®-nominated and award-winning filmmaker Nancy Meyers (“It’s Complicated,” “Something’s Gotta Give,” “The Holiday”) from her own screenplay, “The Intern” stars Academy Award® winners Robert De Niro (“Grudge Match,” “Silver Linings Playbook”) and Anne Hathaway (“Les Misérables,” “The Devil Wears Prada”).
The film’s multi-generational cast also features Rene Russo (“Thor”), Anders Holm (“Workaholics”), Andrew Rannells (“Girls”), Adam DeVine (“Pitch Perfect”), Celia Weston (“No Reservations”), Nat Wolff (“The Fault in Our Stars”), Linda Lavin (“Wanderlust”) and Zack Pearlman (“The Inbetweeners”). Meyers also produced the film, with Suzanne Farwell, while Celia Costas served as executive producer.
“The Intern” will be available on January 19 on Blu-ray Combo Pack for $35.99, and includes the film in high definition on Blu-ray disc, a DVD, and a digital version of the movie in Digital HD with UltraViolet*. Fans can also own “The Intern” via purchase from digital retailers beginning on December 22.
SYNOPSIS
In “The Intern,” De Niro stars as Ben Whittaker, a 70-year-old widower who has discovered that retirement isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Seizing an opportunity to get back in the game, he becomes a senior intern at an online fashion site, founded and run by Jules Ostin (Hathaway).
