Cinedigm (NASDAQ: CIDM) is releasing PELICAN DREAMS on DVD and DIGITAL PLATFORMS April 7th.

From Emmy-and-Sundance-award-winning director Judy Irving (The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill), PELICAN DREAMS is an intimate portrait of an iconic seabird species, capturing the beauty and humor of these creatures sometimes referred to as “flying dinosaurs.” Rated 95% on Rotten Tomatoes, this “…charming film with heart!” (Audubon Magazine) stars “Gigi” (named for Golden Gate), “Morro” (a backyard pelican with an injured wing), and the wildlife professionals who care for them.

Synopsis: What’s it like to try to get to know a flying dinosaur? PELICAN DREAMS follows a wayward California brown pelican from her “arrest” on the Golden Gate Bridge into care at a wildlife rehabilitation facility, and from there explores pelicans’ nesting grounds, Pacific coast migration and survival challenges. The film is about wildness: how close can we get to a wild animal without taming or harming it? Why do we need wildness in our lives and how can we protect it?
