(July 8, 2014) Two-time Emmy Award® winner Patricia Heaton (TV’s “Everybody Loves Raymond”), Sarah Drew (TV’s “Grey’s Anatomy”), Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings trilogy) and country music superstar Trace Adkins star in MOMS’ NIGHT OUT,a comedy with heart debuting on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD Sept. 2 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, AFFIRM Films and Provident Films.  This light-hearted film follows the busy lives of three mothers as they attempt to have one celebratory night out on the town, only to have it turn into complete chaos.  Co-starring in MOMS’ NIGHT OUT isDavid Hunt (TV’s “Everybody Loves Raymond”), Andrea Logan White (Sarah’s Choice), Robert Amaya (Courageous), Kevin Downes (Courageous), Abbie Cobb (TV’s “90210”), Harry Shum Jr. (TV’s “Glee”), Alex Kendrick (Courageous) and Sammi Hanratty (TV’s “Chosen”).

 

The Blu-ray and DVD are loaded with family friendly bonus materials, including a blooper reel, deleted scenes, and commentary with the Erwin Brothers and producer Kevin Downes.  Fans can also enjoy four featurettes, including a discussion with filmmakers in “The Heart of Moms’ Night Out,” giving the back story that inspired the film as something their wives and mothers could relate to. Additional featurettes include “Casting Moms’ Night Out,” giving viewers a chance to meet the actors, as well as “The Art of Improv,” an exploration into the film’s experimental improvisation.  Finally, “The Art of Action” gives fans a deconstructed look at the film’s car chase sequence.

 

SYNOPSIS:

All Allyson and her friends want is a peaceful, grown-up evening of dinner and conversation . . . a long-needed moms’ night out. But in order to enjoy high heels, adult conversation and food not served in a paper bag, they need their husbands to watch the kids for three hours—what could go wrong?

 

MOMS’ NIGHT OUT is a Kevin Downes Production of an Erwin Brothers Film.  The film is directed by The Erwin Brothers, and produced by Kevin Downes in association with Four Boys Films and Pure Flix Entertainment.  MOMS’ NIGHT OUT also features David Hunt (TV’s “24”), Andrea Logan White (Revelation Road), Robert Amaya (Courageous), Abbie Cobb (TV’s “NCIS: LA”), Harry Shum, Jr. (TV’s “Glee”) and Alex Kendrick (Courageous).  Written by Andrea Nasfell and Jon Erwin, MOMS’ NIGHT OUT was filmed in Birmingham, Ala.
