(Los Angeles, Calif.)  June 26, 2014 –Cantinas Entertainment, LLC, founded by entrepreneurs/financiers Greg Campbell and Wendy & B. Wayne Hughes Jr., is a fully-funded new business venture dedicated to releasing multi-platform entertainment that inspires and informs through positive, life affirming stories. The company will finance the development, production and P&A for films as well as the development and production for television properties.

In addition to producing original content under the Cantinas Entertainment banner and partnering with established studios and companies, the newly formed business will also fully finance independent productions that are in line with the company’s vision.  Cantinas has many projects already in development & production and many more to be announced soon.

Cantinas Entertainment content will be story-driven with themes that will “touch your heart and stretch your imagination.”  The Cantinas approach to filmmaking is centered on excellence first – excellence in storytelling, excellence in production values and excellence in the means of distribution.

“Our goal is to brand Cantinas Entertainment as an industry leader in the family entertainment marketplace,” stated co-founder and CEO Greg Campbell.  “Instead of conforming to a sea of sameness in the world of entertainment, Cantinas is very specific about the projects the company embraces and the messages that are highlighted. The company believes entertainment should affirm life’s positivity and reinforce messages of selfless giving, elevating stories of compassion, heroism and optimism. Cantinas aims to spark a sense of hope in audiences around the globe.”

Other soon to be announced film projects currently in development includes a feature film adaptation of “Redeeming Love,” the hugely popular novel by best-selling author Francine Rivers, and a project in partnership with AFFIRM Films/Sony Pictures.

“By offering inspirational stories of hope and positive values, Cantinas believes in entertainment with integrity, stories that inspire, and relatable messages that reinforce faith and address universal themes.
